"The James Elliott
- Bridges of Hope Community
Cycle"

James Elliott, 14, was swept away after he jumped into the River Bush in Stranocum to
rescue a pet dog. James was a pupil at Dalriada Grammar School, Ballymoney, and a talented footballer with
Linfield's youth team. Dozens of friends and relatives took part in the massive search operation after
James was swept away. The search included the Coastguard, Bann River Rescue, RAF, Royal Navy, Fire and
Rescue Service, police search teams and the police helicopter.
James's family requested that, instead of flowers, donations were made to the Community Search
and Rescue Team.

contribution..!!
More details to follow...!
We all with the best intentions, travel far and wide, we plan for weeks for events
10's of miles away, our intentions are admirable as we dig deep to support so many worthy causes.
Yet sometimes we do not realise that there are people even neighbours, struggling to provide worthwhile
services 24-7 and they seem to sail under our radar.
At Ballymoney Cycling Club our members are local and we want to make a difference to those who without concern
for themselves make our families safety their "PRIORITY"
I am going to make sure they have the equipment they require, yet I hope they never need it.
I ask your help......
P.S.... Keep Tuesday 3rd August 7.30pm 2010 FREE!!

New Kit 2010 launch with Stephen and Judith Gallagher
"The jersey in front of you is probably a Ballymoney CC
jersey..!"

What a difference six months makes!!!
When we look back to November 2009, and we met in the same conference room, Nat, Bobby, Jason and
a couple of others sat there and planned to relaunch Ballymoney Cycling Club!!!
6 months later
and it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a seat... as the same room was jam packed with enthuasiastic BCC members and
specially invited guests. There to share the evening with NEW Ballymoney CC Honorary members Stephen and Judith
Gallagher.
Stephen and Judith presented the NEW club kit and gave a 2 hour talk
about serious cycling, full of information, tips and tactics.
As club PRO I want to THANK
EVERYONE for coming along and showing their support. Let us as a club strive to build on what
Stephen said about TEAM SUPPORT and TEAM SPIRIT...
"Together we are strong and will get
stronger!"
Congratulations Ballymoney Cycling
Club
